You'd better have it done this weekend, I'd really like to see your pixelated entrails splattered all over that awesome case!

That is killer!
Also, some powdercoating setups run as low as $100, so if that was something you were going to do often it might be worth doing it yourself. :)

Ok, another powdercoating question for anyone who might be able to answer it...

Obviously it looks like powdercoating aluminum is not a problem, but what about other non-metallic materials like plastic, bondo, JB Weld, etc?

From what I understand, is they do have a special powder for doing plastic. It melts down at a much lower temperature, I guess around 100F or so, but it is very, very fricking expensive!!! I really wanted to powder coat the plastics on this case, but the cost per pound, OVER $80.00, blew that completely out of the question

So to be honest, not really! It just isn't cost effective and I am not sure of the quality of that type of powder.

And Drew, I have talked to the powder shop, and they will do normal colors, IE, Black, white, orange etc... for $50.00 per case, and the more exotic colors like candy apple red, transperent blue, and red, and the metallic colors for $80.00!

Interesting, thanks for the info! I can't wait go get my current projects finished so I can start on my next case mod (which, if you haven't gathered yet, is going to be powdercoated)!
