| it is just a old Athlon Slot A they did not need fans back then (though it climbed to 148*F) but I am not sure the case (by the way it was once a gateway) only had 1 exhaust fan no intake no CPU fan nothing. | Functional Alcoholic | Its not that they didn't need them, it's just some manufactures didn't use them. Since you mention Gateway, they were known for not using Fans back then. I had a PIII 800 from them that only had a Heatsink. There are Heatsinks out there with fans on them for the Slot A. Last edited by Hitman; March 18th, 2007 at 22:34. |

| I added a fan at one time but it was hot wired to work Yeah I knew they had them I just never used the commercially available ones. | I do have an idea for your project. Why not expose the PSU also. I mean, several people are replacing them, why not show them why also. I would use some plexi to do it of course. We don't want anyone getting shocked.![]() |
