However, for the consumate, tech-savvy individual, I have found that HP offers an incredible value on their laptops. Coupled with their frequent 30% off coupon codes and $500 discounts, you can configure an extremely nice notebook for much less than what the Dell XPS M1330 is going for, and in nearly all cases, outperform it. I recently reviewed an HP dv6500t SE, it's a 15.4" laptop with a T7700 processor, 8400M GS videocard, Bluetooth/A/G/N wireless, 250GB HDD, with a DVD burner plus Lightscribe. I've been using this laptop daily for the last six months or so, and it has yet to fail me. HP recently refreshed this line of laptops (to the dv6700t), which now offers Penryn processors. You can check out the review I wrote on my latop here: HP Pavilion dv6500t Special Edition Notebook Review Last edited by garetjax; May 6th, 2008 at 10:40.

| or buy my HP DV9500T! THEN I CAN BUY A SAGER! honestly, give Sager a look. www.sagernotebook.com they got some great stuff, and prices competitively too for what you get. Only knock on HP is their notebooks come with very low end GPUs, highest GPU for their pavillion notebooks are 8600GS, the HDX i believe now ships with 8800GTS, and i think their business lines go with 8700GT. ![]() ![]() Cosmos 1000 Asus P5Q Deluxe Q9450 TRUE 120 Extreme Black Edition W/ Yate Loon Fans 4GB G.Skills PC8500 2x2gb Seagate HD x 3 (2 7200.10 (320gb, 500gb), 1 7200.11 (1TB) Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio 2x AMD Made by Visiontek HD4870 in Crossfire Silverstone ST85F 850W Modular PSU Acer P241W Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 Last edited by azianai; May 6th, 2008 at 12:11. | ||||||||||||||

| I would buy Cappers notebook, that thing is better than what you are looking at with Dell. Also if you have a problem you can get Capper to help you with it. No late night calls to india. You would be a fool not to buy Cappers notebook! It would save you some big bucks! -1 I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review | ||||||||||||||

By the way, I guarantee you that the Asus G1 Rich is selling will smoke the shit out of an XPS 1330... and cost less to boot. Hell, even a brand new Asus G1 with the new 8800M videocard will not only cost less than a 1330, it will handily outperform, (okay, beat the living snot) out of it as well. It's your money, naturally. But I guess I look at this from an investment point of view. For the money paid on an overpriced laptop like an XPS, you can use the same money and fully upgrade an HP or Asus to the very best. Which, in the long run, will have a better resale value than a 13" Dell notebook that when configured with your T9500 (there is no Q9600 offered) and nVidia graphics card, puts the price well north of $1,600 bucks. Speaking of videocards, the funny part about all this is the fact that you want to play games on your notebook. Fact of the matter is that the 1330 comes with an 8400M GS... the very low end of the mobile graphic cards, and Dell doesn't even offer the 256MB memory upgrade with it that HP does. At least with an ASUS G1, you'll be rocking with at least an 8600M GT with GDDR3 and 256MB memory. Last edited by garetjax; May 8th, 2008 at 09:27.
