 |  Re: laptop problem yep hard drive may be hosed.... time to get a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, put it into a desktop and backup what you can (if it is recognized)... put in a new hard drive, install windows on the laptop and then take it out, put it in the desktop, copy the backup stuff onto the new laptop drive, reinstall it back into the laptop itself, and should be all setup   Thanks HL and Corsair!
