here it is almost 30 days since they received it and their RMA system still says "In repair"
The UPS tracking showed it arrived there May 1 (I sent it April 29 from FL to KY)

I know calling them will not help at all nor will an email....

so I am still waiting....

I finally called them today...
FedEx shows it was delivered May 1
The tech I spoke with today stated it was scanned into their system for repair on May 16... so why should it take 2 weeks before it is even touched and scanned in their system?
Then he said the typical turn around time is 15-20 days... and they have no info in their system as to the status of the repair itself.
I stated this is the second time it had to be sent in so why is it taking so long to get to it and he had no additional information... go figure...

finally got it back this morning... FedEx must have been here real early because I went out for my first smoke of the day and there it was on the front steps.
So far I have it hooked up to my newer system and in ubuntu it is working properly at 1440x900... I still have to check the serial number to see if it is the same but from what I am seeing, it may not be...

Well hell, from another post that you have about the motherboard, it seemed like user error to begin with!!! I read that the motherboard that you sent in, came back with no problems what so ever, and when you plugged it in, there was in fact nothing wrong with it? Maybe jumped to conclusion on both items?

This some times happens when we get excited about issues that would be better discussed with knowledgeable folks in the forums!
God knows I have had the same issues, and just relaxed and did some research among fellow tech knowledgeable people within this forum

No, there was no question on both points that something was wrong.
I hooked up my LCD earlier and it works perfectly. Last time I got it back after repair, it was showing the start bar out of the range of being viewable even thought it was set to 1440x900.
With the motherboard, after it has run for a few hours, the IDE channel/drive disappears and is not seen by the BIOS anymore. I still have not gotten it back. Yet the same drive in other computers, even after several hours is seen and usable as it should be.
