Very cool indeed.

Ricky, thanks for your attention in this matter - we always appreciate it when a vendor or manufacturer is willing to assist our members.

Ricky, taking the time to come here, I don't know if you're an above average supervisor who tracks through the Internet looking for this stuff or if someone asked you about it, speaks volumes about the direction you'd like to see "Thenerds.net" take.

I greatly appreciate the personal involvement you've displayed in this matter, and I thank you as well for the good will to customer $15 credit. I'll admit, I was a tad disappointed. However, I'm also relieved that in this age of impersonal Internet commerce, there are still companies who go out of their way to make things right. I'll make sure to update a couple of other places and my Resellerratings comments to reflect your dedication to the customer.

I'll give you guys a holler next time I need something.

Thank you for your time Sir.

I had contacted Ricky/The Nerds and provided a link to this thread. I'd say they responded in stand-up (and timely!) fashion.

Well, after this posting by Ricky, my only regret is using such strong language to describe my feelings towards them. In light of Ricky's response, I do feel a bit foolish, but I am human. Please accept my apologies Ricky.

Well....that and I wish it were The Geeks of Chicks and Computers.net. I ain't no nerd damnit.

Edit---For some reason, I forgot to thank One4 for looking out for me in this post. I sent him a PM, but meant to do so here as well. THANKS Paul!

May want to change the title of this thread to reflect the outcome of this situation.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

And no problem - I would have been just as angry, if not more so, as a consumer in your situation.

As far as the product coming seemingly used, a lot of our products are drop-shipped direct from a distribution facility or the manufacturer direct, and we never actually see the package ourselves. Your case seems like a very rare occasion of when a warehouse has mis-packed an open box or returned item as a new item. We actually do not sell used/open box products on our website at all, but again on a rare occasion one somehow sneaks its way into our stock.

Awesome! Thanks Ricky for making things right. I wish there were more people with your attitude towards helping the customer.

Looks like that luck is turning around Quake.
