Onebxr had a fantastic gift idea, and this was the end result of our scheming. But little does Rich know, he owes us $2.99/month for the mug, of which he agreed to when opening the package:

Have had Direct now for about 4 years or more and only had a few problems with them. Nothing major, just one receiver went out and they tried to charge me for new and service call on top of that but after spending about 4 hours on phone got it resolved with them.
Also being with Bell South, now ATT, get a discount on bill of $5.00 a month for Direct TV, never know when they are going to deduct the money from bill as it is deducted from bank every month so have to check bank every month to see what was deducted. One month they give credit the next month nothing so it gets added the next month, really crazy way of taking the deductions from the bill.
Sorry you had that much trouble with them and if it was me I'd talk to the local DA and see what could be done about it. They are always willing to at least look at the situation and tell you what could be done.

if theres not a way for them to make an extra buck then many times they pretty much tell you "you're screwed, take it like a man in prison"

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Have been having the same thing with my ISP, Wildblue,
Nothing but trouble from the beginning last april.
Finally drew the line in the sand and they got off their duff and did something.
Not yet where it should be but better, still going round and round with tech support but at least they know I don't take their crap and not afraid to jump down someones throat when needed.
