Canon Digital Rebel or Digital Rebel XT - unbelievably gorgeous cameras. We sell both where I work at loooooow prices and every time I see them they're so tempting to pick up. Both amazing DSLRs in their class, and the pictures are unbelievable. I'd recommend Canon cameras over Sony, Nikon, Konica Minolta, Fujifilm, pretty much anything.

I should do camera reviews... I know a buttload about these cameras now that I've essentially been deemed the 2nd in rank camera expert at my store.

HG10's a very nice camera. I don't know enough about the Canons though. Sony is my complete sweet spots, considering I'm Master Certified by Sony.

Check circuitcity.com Consumer Electronics.

I don't really keep up too much on prices... should be somewhere from $500-$700.
