Edit: Asus has some here http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=7&l3=3 God, what were they thinking when they made that. ![]() Last edited by polobunny; April 12th, 2008 at 09:41.

| I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal. | Getting a refresher via Google as I type this, but it looks like unlocking the 6800GS, if successful, essentially results in a 6800GT? As for unlocking the vanilla 6800, I did that on two of my cards back in the day. The first was unsuccessful (artifacts), and the second ran fine. I don't recall it ever performing on par with an Ultra afterwards, but it did run faster than stock. |

Edit: 6800GT and Ultra had the same number of pipelines, making them both relatively similar cards, except the default clocks. Last edited by polobunny; April 12th, 2008 at 09:45.

| The tech I talked to mentioned something about if my warranty hasn't expired... I bought this card because of the lifetime warranty. If it isn't covered I am going to be royally pissed and eVGA will lose one helluva loyal customer. |

Unlocking the GeForce 6800 I still have that card, btw, and will probably use it for comparison in an upcoming AGP videocard review. And yes, someone did actually release a semi-modern AGP card, forcing me to dust off my P4 Northwood rig (let's hope it still works!).

| No, I just registered it. I just roughly guessed on the purchase date, I asked him if it would be a problem if it was wrong, he said no and to just call them and have it corrected when I get a hold of the invoice. The card was purchased on my uncle's newegg account. |
