| I have the logitech G7 wireless and 518 wired. I love them both. The two rechargeable batteries you do have to change every day or two depending on how much your on the computer. But I must say that it's no big deal takes me all of 10 seconds to change it. NO problems with batteries. Both have a very good feel very responsive and solid. I game with both of them and have no complaints. Sure I wish the batteries lasted a week or month but like I said no biggie. If I was going to go corded Id go for the 518 or the G5. | Functional Alcoholic | Wired or Wireless really depends on personal preference. I have a bluetooth wireless keyboard and mouse. I only get lag when my batteries start to die. Batteries tend to last about 3 months. The set I have supports the use of lithium batteries so they last a little longer. Also windows warns me when the battery levels are getting low, and tells me how many hours of battery time I have left usually starts pinging me at about 24hrs left. So if I run out during a game thats my fault. The only problem I have with bluetooth is that its only supported by Windows XP. So if your using a different OS, or trying to use it in the bios your out of luck. You have to have a USB/PS2 keyboard and/or mouse available. Last edited by Hitman; January 12th, 2007 at 08:15. |

| I hear that wireless mouse lag in CSS, especially when using AWP. I used a wireless and hated it. Just was not snappy enough. G5 FTW! | 5 Minute Mod Man | I use a Kensington PilotMouse (Laser Wireless). Its not as good as some of the other wireless ones mentioned but I will mention some things about mine that could occur on different brands. It takes 2 AA batteries at a time and I rotate through 4 sets of rechargables, but I would be just fine alternating 2 sets. Many of the USB wireless get some interference one way or another so my way around that was a usb extension that I ran upto the area of my mouse and keyboard. That also helps on the rare occasions that I have to hit the buttons to 'reconnect' them both back on the same channel/frequency. They are both quickly accessible. This thing is not bad tho... works nice and is comfortable to use. No need for a mouse pad is also a plus. |
