17inch standard is 1440X900 for widescreens.
I use 1920 X 1200 for my 24 inch LCD, dad's 22 inch uses 1680 X 1050, brother's 21.6 uses 1680 X 1050, and both my father and i have 1440X900 on our HP 17 inch notebooks. Brother's 15.4 inch Dell has 1280 X 800

(thanks blake!)

I run 1400x900 on my 19" widescreen, and 1360x768 on my 50" plasma.

If the monitor is that NEC you mentioned earlier. I liked 1024 X 768 on it. I think I also ran an 85 Hz. refresh rate on it.

I run my non-widescreen 19" LCD at its native resolution - 1280x1024. I need to get out of the stone age...

I am the same way, I run it at max unless its an older CRT that has problems... then I step it down a notch.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I run my 19" Trinitron @ 1360x1024.

I can sorta use 1600x1200 but 75Hz refresh rate gets on my nerves.

She'll do upto 2048x1563 though without a hitch, but only 60Hz
