| T-Rex | Didn't see that post. Not my fault if he has a copy there too. =| Try different media, different cable then different cd-rom would be the logical way to do it. Since you already tried 2 different optical drives, go for the media. |

Justin: Another thing I'd try is hooking up the IDE cable to a different IDE connector. Perhaps the one you were using went bad. | ||

| I'm Evil | yeah, lets steer clear of the stolen/bootlegged/pirated software stuff. Justin this is a tough one to diagnose. First, I'd borrow a copy of XP or make a Linux boot disk and see if they might work....then you'd know it was the media....if that fails, download the tool disk from your HDD maker and check the disk.....something may be wrong with the boot sector. Next I'd reset everything on the motherboard to default, you might have some setting in there wrong or something INTEL QX9650 ASUS P5E3 Premium 4GB DDR3-1600 Sapphire HD 3870X2 Danger Den Tower-26 (Custom W/C) 5 x Seagate 250GB HDD in RAID5 BFG ES 800W PSU |
