| i tried a differnt optical drive and nothing happened. HOWEVER, i do notice that the optical drives seem to work HARD when trying to read the cd. Mabye the CD is broken? E2140 @ 375 x 8 = 3.0ghz 2x1 ocz system 1337s pc2-6400 5-5-5-15 @ 450mhz gigabyte P35 S3L eVGA 7600GT Stock 120 gig seagate ULTRA X-Finity 600w Sonata 2 w/ top fan G5 Lazer Mouse |

| Do you mean that you don't even get the blue screen that says it's loading the drivers and stuff? |

| Then your problem is not RAID/SATA drivers. You either have a bad disk or a bad CD drive. Test the CD drive before buying or *cough* trying alternative method to obtaining the Win2k disks. |

| Then it's gotta be the disk. Try booting a live Linux CD. If that works, then I can almost guarantee that it's the disk. |
