Yes, the eSATA-> SATA is meant to be used like that. Why don't you do that?

ooo, well i guess i'll take off the USB bracket then since i dont have enough slots left lol

after further review (and smacking myself for being so stupid) i realize i got the Silver River DUO so it didn't come with that, just the USB/ESATA cables.
