If you are diligant about backups you have no reason to fear RAID0. But you won't see a perf jump unless you do video editing or serve up websites...games get no boost.

Finally someone who agrees with me. The cool thing about RAID 0, and the main reason I like it is, that it makes all your HD's look like one big drive.

A few years back (2001) I had 4 X 40gb HD's running in RAID 0. So I had 160gb HD, that was bigger than any HD that was out at the time. I thought I was hot Sh*t. Of course that didn't last long because all of those HD's were IBM Deathstars and started dying. Hitachi replaced them for me with 60gb HDs.
