| ![]() You've got nothing to lose! Its technically dead, in the way that it won't get detected, so you either try or just give up. And we all know the latter is not an option. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| Well, don't get me wrong, I'm going to be careful of course, haha! These chips still do hold important things. Ok, I opened up the casing. It wasn't hard at all. The two halves were held together with some type of gummy adhesive. Visually, the unit looks undamaged. I don't see any busted caps or other components that are exhibiting signs of damage. There are basically two RAM chips (1GB each I'm assuming) and one other chip that I'm assuming is a controller chip of some sorts. I'm not really sure what to do next. I guess I'll just let it sit for now and assume "The Thinker" position while waiting for my dinner to finish cooking. | Here is what my route would be... I would take to One4you2C (or whatever it is) then find out how he made his USB ports. Remove your current USB and just put a new one one. But before you do that, see if the actual USB port is damaged on the back. Maybe something got damaged. Have you tried it on any other systems? ![]() I Like Watercooling.
