I prefer LCD's for weight, footprint and gaming.

I preferred a CRT when I was very light sensitive. I could crank the refresh rate up to 85Hz and the CRT was easier on the eyes than an LCD. Also, changing resolutions was an issue at the time because I had an FX5900 for a video card.

Now that I'm over that, and on to much better hardware, my View Sonic VP201 LCD is a must have for me.

I've been using CRTs all my life, but I'm now considering buying an LCD (once I have the money saved). I need to buy a new monitor anyways, and like Rich said, they've definitely improved.

nah, never! :P Actually, I'm using a 17" right now. I've got a really nice eMachines 17" CRT in the dining room right now, but I'm running a really fuzzy Gateway 17" CRT in my room at the moment. I'm not sure whether to swap them or not. Still, it'd be nice to have a widescreen LCD ;)

I have the Sceptre nagav 19" widescreen and I love it. This is the first LCD monitor that I have owned and I dont know how come I resisted for so long. I havent seen any ghosting and beleive me I play alot of video games. 5ms FTW! And it was priced under 200.00.

No problem, bud. Of course, the good people who harp LCD's so much forget to mention (rather conveniently) that for all the whiz bang goodness of LCD's over CRT's that stuck and burned out pixels are inherent to LCD technology. However, I digress. Enjoy your LCD monitor. =)

Good lord man....were you abused by an LCD monitor as a kid?
There are such things as warranties and return policies.......plus, I've had 4 LCD monitors over the past two years....and none had a dead or stuck pixel on them
