| Modder-ator | Always trust the Manufacturer's Website specs over the retail website specs. As for the monitor, it should be decent. I just upgraded my old 15" LCD to a new Gateway 24" LCD and it is prettymuch amazing. the only complaint I have about the Acer is that the stand is not very adjustable (mainly the height). With the 24" screens being so heavy, it's nice to be able to move them where you want without propping them up on books or something so just keep that in mind ![]() |

| I hope you have not purchased already: BenQ are not that great, in fact they are often sold as Elcheapo's. For around the same price (which are exspensive for those) you can get a much higher end LCD 22inch Monitor. They may use Asus parts, but they are not of the same caliber as the MW221U Asus MW221U BLK 22inch WIDE 2MS DVI/VGA,Tilt, Speakers HDCP Support Umart Online® - Computer Superstore Computer alliance always have high prices! I own the above monitor and it ROCKS! 2Ms Grey to Grey and many more options and specs....check it out As for 1080 HD, you need a much higher rez than 1680X1050, 720p comes in at around a resolution of 1024X768. That is not to say you wont see any more improvement beyond 720p from a 1080 HD on such a monitor....you will. I've notice that analouge looks like shit and that worries me. Austar looks like shit on them as well, as DVD's look snowy on a HD monitor as well......that is IMO.....what does anyone else think....Oh yea, i think you have to be carefull also when you start getting into the 30+inch screens as well as the analouge gets even worse as probably does your basic Mpegs....... Anyways good luck PS...check out the user reviews on that page if you dont trust the specs on that page.....ITS the Fastest lcd monitor at that size out there.....Colour is Awsome as well,,,! | Yeah i looked around a couple of shops the other day, and decided not to go for BenQ, so now i'm thinking of either ASUS or ACER, particualarly that 24" as it's bout $300-$400 cheaper than all the others. Anyone know if there's a reason it's cheaper, or is it just competion for customers, and i'll go have another look to see if the stand adjustment is too anoying or not. lol yeah i've never atually bought nything from computer alliance, just they gotta better website than most Intel E6320 1.86GHz Gigabyte 965P-DS3P Corsair 2GB 800MHz XFX 8800 GTS 320MB 250GB Seagate- 750GB WD Antec 900 OCZ GameXtream 700w ThermalTake Big Typhoon VX Windows XP Professional SP2 Razer Deathadder Mouse 24" Widescreen Acer Moniter |
