Default Re: Logitech g5 VS Razer Copperhead

Both are great for gaming, and it basically comes down to comfort. If you have access to a local computer store (BestBuy, CompUSA, etc), it'd be worth a trip to see if they have one of each in stock that you could hold and move around. This is more-so for the Copperhead, as some of Razer's mice (including that one) utilize an ambidextrous design that most people either seem to really like or really hate. Case in point is that site owner Rich Caporali (Capper) absolutely loves the feel of their rodents, while on the other hand, I find them very uncomfortable due to the lower profile buttons and lack of arch.

they are both very nice mice.
to me the copperhead gets uncomfortable.
i have arthritis so long gaming sessions sucked until i got a G5.
it's the only one that would keep my hand fro hurting after a few hours.
the only thing i dislike about the g5 is the fact that the wheel is a tilt wheel, and sometimes doesn't register as forward/backward, but as sideways, which just messes me up.

the weight is also a huge thing for me, light mice hurt, as there is no resistance, and heavy mice hurt cause they are....heavy....(the arthritis is that finicky, anyone who has it knows what i am talking about)

if you find the copperhead to be a better mouse for you, but it's too light, drill a small hole in the underside and squirt some non-conductive epoxy in that sunuvagun!

Yep. =)

While I will say that the G5 is a very nice gaming mouse, I won't say that its no-slip area is great. In my opinion, I think it really sucks. It feels way too grainy and my fingers cannot find enough purchase to hold onto it tightly during really intense frag fests. In fact, I would have probably bought the G5 if it only offered the same type of no-slip material that is found on Logitech's MX518 series gaming mice.

the G5 consistently is comfortable, and the annoyance level is pretty much 0.

over time it keeps its conformity to your hand just the way it started, feels the same all the time, thats what's good about it. the razor i find seems to degrade its comfort over long usages, it kind of starts nice, but the shape of it really is where it lacks; too short is really the problem. the G5 with its ability to adjust the weight is a HUGE plus.

thats my take on it; if i had a choice, i'd pick the G5. if the razor was presented to me i would 100% not say no.
