U can install Alien to get RPM files to work on Ubuntu.

Code:
sudo apt-get install alien
Code:
sudo alien -d poop.rpm
poop is replaced with the name of your rpm file. The -d says "Hey Alien, convert it to a debian package"

Code:
sudo dpkg -i poop.deb
then u just open it as a debian package =)

[note; Thanks to gam3r4eva and Belboz99 for teaching me this]

also alien is problematic at best and I have only seen it work with one out of 12 files so far with my testing, one that it did not was the ATi drivers

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Copy them all to your thumb drive just in case. ndiswrapper should know which file. I'm not 100% sure which ones you need. Probably all of them.

You have to be logged in as root. Open terminal and type this: sudo passwd root That'll give the root account a password. Now login as root by typing su. Your terminal window is the only application logged in as root, so you'll have to open an application from there if you want a GUI. If you want to browse some folders as root, type nautilus.
