| Not all people have enough room for extra hard drives, plus what if your PSU blows and takes your HDs with it? Hence the need for an external drive Opteron 64 165--1.5GB DDR--ECS KA1 MVP(thanks HL!)--x1800GTO 256MB--Seagate 320GB SATA--Antec 550 Watt--Antec P180 |

| Level 2 College Student | I have an extra 9 slots in my old compy and an extra 8 slots in my new compy (that's including the 2 drives already in it). Only room for 2 more drives in the removable dock though... and I'm sure things would heat up very quickly there. BUT that is a major concern of mine as well.... dependability in a disaster. If I have 3 seconds and for some reason am unable to rescue my PC in a fire/earthquake/etc (or if my pc gets exploded by a piece of roof) I can use my external which is eventually gonna be placed somewhere besides RIGHT next to my pc =P |

| Modder-ator | Those both look pretty decent to me. The Mapower KC31C1 also looks pretty good, although a little more pricey. |
