My 24" acer looks nice. Especially for what I paid for it.

Personally I like the Samsung line. I still have and use the Samsung 213T I bought years ago. Liked it so much I added a pair of 19" Samsung 915n monitors to my workststion. There is also a Dell 19" monitor I use for the laptop docking station. Overall, I like Samsung. Ron

I got the monitor this morning, unpacked everyting and hooked it up. I found the stand/base to be somewhat very flimsy for a monitor that size. Fired up the laptop and went into the display settings and saw that I could bump the resolution to 1600x1200. At first the whole display looks sorta washed out, guess I have to tweak the monitor settings tomorrow. So far I only used it for CAD and internet browsing, gonna try watching a dvd movie later on. Oh I am using the D-Sub cable as the lappy doesn't have the DVI output like the desktop, perhaps I get better display results via the DVI output. ![]() AMD Athlon XP 3000 Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Corsair XMS 1GB DDR 400 nVidia Geforce FX5900 Maxtor 60 GB sata Thermaltake Xaser 3 chassis Antec Tru Power 550 Thermaltake Volcano 12 hsf Windows XP Professional
