That being said, I discourage the use of RAID 0 on drives that are used to store Data. There is no redundancy so if one of your drives crash, you loose all of your Data. If you do use RAID 0 you should use it on the drives that where your OS and Programs are installed. This is where you will benefit the most from the modest performance gain of RAID 0. There is one thing I do like about RAID 0. It shows all of your drives as one drive. So it makes it easier to find where your stuff is stored. You said that you backup your Data on external HDs. So if RAID 0 crashes, you won't loose everything. | |

| Colonel Calamity | in my warm room (81ºF) my 320GB 7200.10 shows in SpeedFan as 39ºC... I have no other drives in the case (at this moment) and my temps never get much above that ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |
