Then the ViewSonic Q19WB-2 is the current top I see. More suggestions are welcome.

If you can afford it, go for the Dell 20" WS. You get the extra pixels (higher res) for not much more. Even the budget Dell E207WFP is very nice in person - crisp and bright, didn't mess with my boss' CS skills (he kicks my ass).

if you have the extra cash that 20" is a good deal, if you are looking for budget setup then the Q19wb is still the best.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

The other advantage to DVI is that you don't have to use the big, awkward DVI to VGA adapter on newer video cards with dual DVI connections.

I have the sceptre 19" w/s monitor and I cannot complain. It came with no dead pixels and has been trouble free for a couple of months now. The only thing is the stand doesnt tilt only adjustable height. It also bleeds white around the edges on black screens I dont know if this is common with all lcd monitors. At the price point of 179.00 I am not complaining.

I have 2 of the Samsung monitors, both used for gaming (BF2, CS:S etc)
with no problems at all. One is connected using the DVI cable (cost is
more), and the other is connected using the included VGA cable.

The DVI connected monitor appears to have a cleaner picture. They
are side-by-side so the difference is noticable, but just barely to me.
Where it counts is a marginal increase in frame rates while playing games.
With the DVI connection, the signal is converted 1 times less than the
VGA connected monitor.

Another advantage is that you plug in the DVI and its crystal clear, no adjustments needed.

I tried DVI and VGA on my new VX922 LCD, VGA looked like crap, I'm sure I could have tweaked the settings to make it look like DVI, buy why bother.
