Every drive I've tried has worked fine in three other machines as a boot drive. I wasn't able to get a SATA today. I'm going to try to tomorrow and see what happens.

Are you booting up with an IDE as your main Hard drive?
Do you have the DVD and IDE on the same cable?

Troubleshoot the cable.
[Try another]
Make certain your Master drive's jumpers are master and your DVD is slave.
Make sure your master drives jumpers are correct and your Bios sees the drive as Master.

Maybe your Jumper fell of your drive

I appreciate all the help. But as for my bad luck, the IDE channels are both bad. I tried a SATA drive earlier to have it load and boot on the first try. This is a good thing but I need the IDE channels for this computer. On another good note, my buddies at the comp store are going to help me along with the RMA process. I think they are also going to let me do a small upgrade also. I'll keep everyone posted. Bailey.
P.S. I'm actually still using the comp I first built when I joined here. A very special thanks to Fasttaz for the ECS board.

I will more than likely go with this Newegg.com - MSI K9N6SGM-V AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail. Mainly because of the N-Vidia chip-set. That and it'll only cost me like $5 for the upgrade. I do have another build in the works. But thats for another day in the near future.

Another MSI? I would think that after this incident you'd have learned your lesson...

I actually got some pretty good help from their on-line support. That alone is worth giving them another shot.

I have the Biostar Socket939 version of that Tforce6100 board and it works fantastic for me. Will not load linux but otherwise works great!!

Thanks HL and Corsair!
