I'm looking forward to your article then. Do you have alot of experience with linux?

Maybe you could help me out sometime when I feel like giving linux another chance.

Good enough for me. I've been searching on the web for a basic guide on how I can install things and configure a basic linux installation.

Stachboy its really upto what distro you use, like using Slackware as your first linux OS is not a good idea at all, Ubuntu is one of the easiest, buts its administration isnt that good, Fedora Core 4 is nice too, SuSE 10.0 Probably has the eaiset installer and easiest way to administrate and install stuff
What about Gentoo, what do you think about that?

I use a very special, fast and easy to use OS called BeOS. In its time (and still is) made of super efficient code and is years in programming advancement above microsoft's OS. What its weak point is programs and driver support. But, I use it everyday and its the only OS on my system. More information can be learned here:

This BeOS you keep talking about sounds interesting indeed. If/when I finally have the time to do an alternative OS install, I will have to give this a try. You got a link to some screenshots or can you post some for us?

BeOS is great but it has some major downfalls. There is limited hardware support, no 3D gfx drivers(there are some experimental ones) plus the company that made it no longer exists but thats why we have BeBits.com to supply you will all the apps you need
