I know it's hard finding one at the moment, but I know it should be delivered soon from asking my buddy working where I used to buy. Expect $200 boxed retail or around $185 boxed cost when the new wave ships, though frankly it should be lower than that and those prices are only that because there's none to be found. Intel really has to start mass producing those wolfies or stop saving so many trays for OEMs :P

Any particular reason you are getting the Business version over Home Premium?
well I had played around with both the Business and Home Premium and found the Businees version to be more appealing and that it offers better networking facilities and more themes. I had thought about running the Vista on my current hardware setup but I'd highly doubt that it will run smoothly though.

Get an extra gig of RAM and it should run just fine. I've played around with Vista Ultimate on an EeePC with a 800MHz Celeron, crap Intel graphics and 2GB of RAM and it ran surprising smooth. Your current setup is multiple times better then that, so with some extra RAM it will run perfectly.

Assuming you live in the US, of course the same models should be able to be found in other countries for roughly the same price including taxes/tariffs.

That there would be one sweet system even at stock speeds, and not much of a power consumer so the PSU can be reused. HDD, opticals and chassis as well. The 8500GT is more then enough for photo editing and watching movies, if AGP was still around I'd recommend keeping the FX 5900 as even my wimpy 5200 can do all of that flawless. The 8500GT also features the newest rendition of PureVideo, which offloads processing hi-def content from the processor to the GPU for better viewing and freeing up resources.

For music, onboard is usually fine. I recommend trying out the sound that comes with the board first before factoring in a sound card, if it's not up to par then a card can be added later.
Thanks for the reply Stormcrow..........I'd definetly look into some of the parts you recommeded. Definetly would go with the Intel dual core..........btw does Asus have a mobo for the Intel proc??

Check for drivers before hand, though.

I am running Vista Ultimate 32bit on a Nforce 2 board running a xp3200+ with a gig and a half of ram, and a 6600gt AGP vid card and it runs pretty smooth. Of course I can notice a difference between it and this system!

If you want to save up some extra cash to maybe get even better parts, I am sure that your current system, with an extra gig of ram as mentioned, would be more than able to run Vista 32
