Yep, CCleaner does a very good job for a very good price.
I don't like System Mechanic 6 much. It's too "all-in-one" in a way that it doesn't tell you exactly what's going on behind it's cute little red graphical interface. :P
Not only that, but I click the one click optimize button and it didn't tell me what it was going to do, next thing I know it's defragmenting my hard drive, when they're already defragmented using Raxco PerfectDisk 2008.

Yep, not too keen on the details option being limited to Good File or Bad File, not the specific file being removed in general. Still though, messing around with it some of the options are good to have, others I prefer to do on my own or let another program handle. Good news is you can just pick which ones you want to execute instead of just the comprehensive wizard.

Keep in mind guys, while this may be free they'll most likely "sell" your information through a third party, ie telephone and email addresses. Just in case, signed up with a fake name using fake locale and numbers, and a Guerillamail address. They don't seem too picky. Also worked just fine in Firefox.

Ah, it was my adblock after all. Disabled it and it works number 1 now.
Not surprising, considering the button image and others are under a directory named "ads".

I am my own system mechanic. I get everything installed and running the way I like it...tweaks and all..., use Acronis to make a backup, then I'm done.

If my system starts slowing down, acting all stupid, I hit Acronis up and have a brand new install going. Piece of cake.

Heh, it's claiming that my overall system health is "critical" also. And I thought I was happy with it... Hermmmm.

this is one of those programs that says "this needs fixed" and then requires you to pay for it... and whether you pay for it or not, by simply finding something, anything, they make the user think that it is doing its job.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Hmmm, It won't take my username and pw. Says it's invalid. Of course, the version it downloaded was 7.1 something, not version 6, and I went from the link. Was this for the regular version, or the Pro version?

Thanks again for the license. Sure beats conspicuous "freeware". I will continue to toy with it.
