What are your favorite Distros and why? whats a good one for beginners? Where is a good place to get support and drivers for distros?
My Favorite distro is SuSE and Ubuntu, I like SuSE for its completely graphical installer, its extremely easy admininstration and the easy-ness to install stuff. I like ubuntu for Apt-Get, Apt-Get is a prog on ubuntu that allows you to download nearly any prog in existance for ubuntu.. But for downloading and installing your own stuff SuSE is better. Another note, SuSE has a choice of window managers, KDE is bloated and slow, but its more windows like, Gnome is more streamlined. The window manager is similar to the Explorer Shell on windows, except if you dont have a window manager, your stuck in a text based environment. As you can see i prefer Gnome.

Most distros have their own help forums, and about the only drivers you'll ever need for linux are the graphics drivers...

We definately should. An open source guru would be great. Linux has a pretty big learning curve for anyone that has been on Windows their whole life. Even more so since this site is aimed beginners.

I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

Ok I'm dual booting XP and fedora core 5 with grub bootloader. How do I change it so I have more than 3 seconds to decide which OS to load. Also is there a easy way to change it so XP is the first OS instead of linux. < This is to make it easy for the wife and god knows things need to be easy for her.

I don't know of anyway of how to change the time, I believe once your in Fedora you go to the administration tab or whatver and look for bootloader config or something

I didn't see anything. I know with XP you just change the boot.ini but it's totally different with fedora.
I'll do some more searching, so far nothing easy.
