AAHHH, good to know you managed to dig up an NIC. I'm away at school right now so it was hard to talk to my mom on the phone and try to describe to her what to look for in my box full of random old computer parts

The biggest problem I've had is finding everything you need to install something. I mean windows has everything in the app you download and linux you have to find different pieces to put together. At least thats what I remember from the times I've tried it.

You mean like when I installed windows, I had to install the ATI Drivers wich needed dot.net wich needed windows installer 3 wich needed service pack 4?

Most packages in linux already have the dependencies already there. Linux has come a long way these passed few years.

EDIT: Can i get my title changed to "Forum Linux Guru" :P

RedHat is an enterprise OS, you want Fedora Core, the user friendly version of red hat.

Updated first post again.
