Same here, and it's less heavy on resources than Kaspersky or alot of other anti virus solutions. It's fun to be secure and all, but not when you're cutting in your computer performance, at least not for me.

I also use Antivir and it has been great. The only problem I have with it is it updates too often! The little updater status window is always popping up and can get kindof annoying. I think I'll give AVG a shot and see how it does. But I've actually been running without and antivirus, anti-spyware, firewall, etc for about a year now with no problems.

Lets not forget about Avast as it is a viable free Antivirus competitor (which is what I use).
