If Firefox didn't exist I'd use Opera
If Opera didn't exists I'd use Safari

If all 3 didn't exist, I'd stop browsing the interwebs

Firefox/Mozilla was based on netscape, an offshoot. Now netscape is really just a Firefox with a different interface, kind of like Avant

Some, but not all. I used it for six months, and left it for what I thought was a browser glitch (turned out to be Bluetooth-related).

Netscape is based on firefox but it is suppose to switch to I.E. compatible when it's needed.

Mozilla is the company that started the "browser" portion of many applications. It was used inside Netscape and then later created their own browser. Netscape came first years ago when it was basically a rebuilt IE and then started off in its own direction. Some earlier versions of AOL used it for connection instead of IE. Once the main coding went open source, someone else came along and started Firefox (but it was another name for a short time). Since then, Netscape has continued its path now borrowing certain things from Firefox.
