I'm really tempted by that fan controller. I can't seem to find the fans I wanted for so long anywhere in stock so I might end up buying the model over and trying to limit them using the controller. Awesome look, haha. :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

Raid,

What an astonishing build! I'm currently in the process of gathering parts. Basically, down to the case and after stumbling across your Torture Rack, I think I'm sold and I'm considering something similar to your setup, but of course w/ my own touches.

I have a few questions for you if you don't mind.

Is there anything behind the Lian Li Case Fan Module and could you tell me a little bit more about the 120.3 mounting? I've contacted Danger Den about their 120mm holes and layout matching the 120.3's, but I've yet to receive a response.

Is there anyway of securing the optical drives or are they just placed inside? Lastly, is there mounting positions for hard drives or do you have to fashion something?

Thanks for your time.

The Torture Rack is an awesome idea, we reviewed it a few months back, and I currently have my personal system in one as well as one thats used as the test bench.

The Optical Drive and HDD are secured to the side panel by some screws. As to the 120.3 mounting, I've got mine mounted sideways, where RAID has his mounted vertically......either way works. I have the Black Ice GTX360 120.3 Radiator with 3 Yates fans attached to it......the design of the Torture Rack lets you set your radiator up almost any way you want.

Could you point me towards your build log per chance? I'm trying to get everything ironed out before I shell over the dough :) Thanks for the response and nice meeting you.

first off, thanks for the compliment Silverdusk and welcome to HL!

to address your questions, nothing is behind the fan module except for extra psu cables. i've went against the grain and attempted to make a test bench 'look' good but admittedly, it wasn't designed for that. i just tried to reach a happy medium between aesthetics and ease of access.

as far as rad mounting, i believe the cutouts are designed for the Black Ice rads and will line up perfectly with those. if you want to mount thermochill rads, it will be a little off center on one of the fan cutouts but not too bad. basically, you will only be able to line up and mount one of the fans with the case and the rad while the other fans are only attached to the rad. so for my set up, the top and bottom fans are secured to the rad while the center fan is keeping the rad attached to the case.

it would be a really good idea to check out Capper's review which really helped me decide that this was the right case for me. the torture rack is designed to hold one optical drive at the bottom and two hard drives. i've got all my bay components stacked on top of one another. this works for me as i don't move my case around at all but something to consider if you need mobility.

make sure to keep us updated on your new build and start a thread in the 'introductions' area so we can properly shower you with greetings!

That is one hell of a setup. I'm going for a major upgrade int he next weeks so I may buy into one of those torture racks. DangerDen makes such good products. The 3x120 rads fit nice on there.
