| I'm Diggin it! | PSU's now-a-days don't seem to fry as many components as they used to from what I've seen and heard. I think it'll definitely be worth your time and effort to try hooking another one up to the puter. | Silence..Or I kill you! | Joker, take a look at the plug in on the mother board. The 20 pin plugin. Look at the metal plugs down inside the socket, and make sure that there isn't any sign of black burnt looking crap inside. Make sure that the plastic plug part is not melted or discolored also. If any of these are the case, the motherboard might of caused this problem. |

| Functional Alcoholic | I have fried many PSUs without damaging anything else in the system. They use 220 power over here, and my Govt housing has both, so if the PSU isn't autosensing and I forget to switch from 110 and plug into a 220 socket, Bam burnt PSU. I have killed 4 different PSUs since I have been here. |

| I plugged the Antec smart power 400 into the computer and everything startd but I'm getting a constant beeping and the computers speaker isn't even plugged in? Maybe the PSU has one? I'll check antec website. |

| I'm Diggin it! | The mobo probably has a built in speaker. What mobo is it and what's the sequence of beeps? 1 short, two long, constant same length beep or what? | intel d850emv2 mobo and the beeping is constant. I see looking online that video card, motherboard and memory all could cause this with memory being most likely. Trouble is I have 4 memory sticks in the computer RDRAM and I think the continuity modules needed to use in place of removed ram is at the storage if I still have them. I may just need to get a video card for another computer I have here and call that good. Speaking of which I removed the antec PSU from the other computer since it had a 20 pin main connector and put the new PSU in the computer that needs a video card. I noticed that the new 600 watt PSU doesn't have a 4 pin connector for the mobo. Does the mobo need one since there's a spot on the mobo for it? |

| Ok I had to connect the extra power to the 9800XT video card ( doh ). Everything seems to work, just need to set-up the bios again as I removed the cmos battery. |
