Well . . . from what wikipedia says "a computer game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously, and is played on the internet." So any game played online with others is considered an MMO. Although if you are referring only to RPGs, please specify as it as "Your top 3 favorite MMORPG's"

So i guess my favorite MMOs are:
CS:S
Guild Wars
WoW

Pentium D 915|EVGA 7050 mATX|OCZ XTC 2GB|XFX 7900GS XT|Hyper Type-R 580W|Qmicra 2 Case

1. Everquest
2. Everquest2
3. Star Wars Galaxies, before they took was a great concept and completely messed it up

Gonna have to toss an honorable mention to Toontown. My son started playing this, so I went ahead and got my own account so I could give him a hand with some of the tasks that require a couple folks, and it actually turned out to be quite fun and addictive

I've been meaning to try it out, but because I don't have to DL anything extra to play runescape and I'm constantly switching between what computer I am using at college I haven't relally gotten the chance to play.

My favorites include DAoC and AO. Although, I did enjoy Horizons for the brief moment that it was live before it was closed down. Although, I have heard that a new developer has brought back Horizons from the grave and has re-released it again.

I refuse to play any PAY-to-play games. To me it is one of the dumbest things a person can do... pay the monthly internet bill, pay $40-50 fore the game itself and then pay monthly for the game itself just to play it? That is assinine. It is bad enough having to pay $50 for a disc that you play for a few months but also paying a monthly fee on top of that?
the only ones i really care to play online is CS:S/HL2 and previously played Runescape, Command and Conquer and another war one but beyond that I tend to stay away from pay-to-play games
