This Xfire group thing helps keep us on the same list area of Xfire so its easy to see which of us are playing online rather than having to dig through the friend list.
When you create a group on Xfire, isn't that just for your own organization? nobody else see it. You know, so you can organize your list of friends. Am I wrong?

ok waiting on prolific, oth and Paul to accept the invite....

and P_O, yes, this is just a list to keep HL players in a single spot on your friends list. for those of us that have played for years and used Xfire for years, like any normal buddy list it can get clogged so this helps keep the groups separated. Especially if you prefer playing a game with specific people, this allows others to see when a few of us are on the HL COD4 server (or any other game/server) without having to add every single other HL person to their personal friends list.

I've been using it awhile and haven't seen the 'group' in the way you describe. I can create a group to organize my friends but your description makes it sound like you created a group that we all join, and that I have not heard of. But send me another invite, I accepted the friend list invite..

Xfire lists it under the Clan area but you can specify if it is a team, clan, guild... whatever... so I just entered Team...

and your invite is still open so maybe you need to go to the site to accept it Xfire Clans page
