I haven't played World in Conflict, but I have probably sunk hundreds of hours into SupCom. And yes, it's that good. =)

Does "HP" and "gaming" really belong in the same sentence?

I liked SUPCOM, mainly I guess because it is so similar to Total Annihilation. I didn't find it "big" at all. Each map is pretty cool...just when you think you have it beat, more of the map opens and you get your ass totally kicked again.

The dad I'm talking about helped design the blackbird, he had the prototype in his house back in August.
I wouldn't of put HP and Gaming together if it weren't for the BlackBird

Sweet, thanks for the replies guys. I knew Supreme Commander looked like my kind of game, but I just wasn't sure if it fell short. Looks like the overwhelming majority really enjoyed it though, so maybe I'll give it a whirl when I get tired of playing Titan Quest: Immortal Throne.

agreed, WIC is a great looking game but the gameplay element just isn't there from an old school RTS player like me. SupCom is an excellent game.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

In as little as six months ago, the answer would have been no. But for the deep wallet crowd, it's worth a mention that HP gobbled up gaming boutique VoodooPC, and their first project together is the above mentioned Blackbird..

Ive only played supreme commander, and I think its great, but make sure you turn the speed up. (I get very impatient waiting for units to build/move)
