I've never seen Blondie post with the intent to incite anything. That's assuming stuff.

If the shoe fits in these forums, wear that baby. If it doesn't, talk about it. Discussion is a must! Just try not to read too far into someones intent. Not only are we usually wrong when this happens, we can also offend someone when that wasn't the intent.

Well I just hope that no1 here will ever do anything like that.

a) hook up with someone online
b) leave a family for the aforementioned person....

IMO thats disgusting.

PS: I've never seen Blondie post to try and start something.

Thanks QD. IIRC, I was on cup 1 or 2 early in the morning, when I shouldn't post. She mentioned the strip club, and me being in my 40's remember them all too well. Men going there looking for action, not only to drink. Back in the day, it was the strip club women worried about, but now in the 2000's; there's a new threat, chat rooms & stuff like that.

As you said, if it happened in game, it probably would have happened outside of game as well. There also has to be the willing women that has no morals...

I used to lurk on a gaming site; there was this one chick there that flirted with every man on the forum. She did it right in front of her "boyfriends" face. I felt so bad for him. I guess her mentioning the gaming; along with the strip club, brought this chicks memory to my mind.

Me being one of a handful of women on a few computer sites, I know not all men want to flirt with women and not all women flirt with men.

Had my post not been quoted, I most likely would have edited it.

I am a recent WOW addict. I have played the Blizzard games for years. For over a year WC2 was our work team building and stress relief.

In regards to the social aspect, my kids watch me play. Of course there are times when the chat is bad even with the profanity filter on, but I talk to them about it. There are a couple places in the Undercity I have them leave the room because it is kinda sick or goreful.

I do think that it can cause a bit less inhabition. Of course drinking has done that for people a long while. I can see how it could happen, but I think it would be less than someone in a chat room trolling. Just a different mix. Now people becoming friends and then it becoming more is obvious, but that happens at work or school too. Now if a person is playing a female Night Elf or a Human I can see some false attraction, but is someone is drooling over a female Orc or Tauren, then they have lots of issues that need to be resolved.

Tasks that can me accomplished while whacking things and getting stuff you can use or sell. It is everything that work will never be.

yeah, these are the same kids that you never see outside riding their bikes and playing with "real life friends". its weird how addicting games are becoming so addicting... but then again, I guess they've always been that way. I remember playing "Pong" for hours.... wonder what makes people like to play them so much. has to be some sort of psycological thing in the game. the strive to be better than other players maybe.. -shrug-

I think I used to be addicted to EQ1, from the original era up until GoD. I would love to find a game that got me so involved and was as fun as it was with that.

They must have polled people like. I haven't been able to play a game nonstop since Diablo 2. And that only lasted 2 weeks. every other game is stop and go basically.
