Im very near the end...did the bar thing long ago.There is monolith whatever guys and a voice that keeps speaking.You go into the wish granter thing and it moves you up higher then you have to run like hell to get to the white lit doorway.......I die every time about 3/4 of the way. Might try more later.

EDIT: I didnt go into the wish granter...its a white thing that moves you up to the crane arm to go across.
I make it to the wish granter and nothing happens? Not sure what to do now?

Approach the Wish Granter and press "F" to "Make a wish"

but.... its not the good ending..... did you visit the Guide at Stelok's hiding place (in Agroprom/Military base west of Garbage) before you ventured North?
(thats how you get the real ending)

I will have to try the "F" and see what happens. This game is so complicated with different ways to do everything...not sure where I have been.

EDIT: I tried the F and nothing happens.Is the wish granter the arch type thing that is white inside? The map shows a green dot at that location and that is where I am at. Also,when I hit "P" it shows that its what im supposed to do,go to the wish grantor....after that it shows that im supposed to find,Strelok and kill him.

You should be doing some hoop-jumping to get to it.
I'm not sure what to say if you've already done that.

Thats where im at.Your pic isn't showing the other white thing to the left of your aimer that moves you up top.Anyway,I dont have anything on my belt either,will attach things to it and go from there.

Hmm.....

that's odd that you can't touch the Wish Granter. Do you have the decoder and the secret papers that tell you about the Monolith?

Are you sure you've followed story? I know that STALKER can and often does muck up the sequence. Did you go to Agroprom and go to Strelok's stash? Do you remember climbing up a pipe with a ladder and some guy talking to you? Its possible once you reached the NPP it cancelled the "Meet the Doctor at Strelok's Secret Hiding Place" quest.

Actually, at least in the initial release, it was possible to jump up to the wish granter from that little pile of dirt just above your crosshair. I know I spent at least 30 minutes trying the fancy jumpy around to get to it, and after one really close attempt, I was like, blah!, and just jump at it in frustration, and I actually got up. It was much quicker... dunno if it works in the updates though.

Just go back until you see "Talk to the Guide" or "meet @ strelok's hiding place"

Make sure you talk to everyone and do all the Yantar missions, etc etc.

I never played the unpatched version. After reading the horror stories about it, I immediately patched. I'm surprised you got so far unpatched. :P
