| Colonel Calamity | one thing is to see what specific part of your system is limited with this game, try this website to see what it mentions as the problematic part of your system: System Requirements Lab ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! My opinions are my own and not representative of this site or its members. |

| resident headbanger | that 8600gt will have a tough time running crysis. However, a better game, COD4 will run well with that card. -1 I would rather read a NewEgg review than a [H] review |

| Modder-ator | Crysis will cripple just about any single GPU system available today, so I wouldn't worry too much about that. You've going to have to turn the detail down a good bit to get it to run on any system, but it should at least run on an 8600GT. That looks like a decent system and should definitely be able to run S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in some form. May I suggest a different motherboard though? The DFI is kindof a picky motherboard and may not be the best choice for casual users who aren't looking to tweak their BIOS for days/weeks/months. A Gigabyte, Asus, or Biostar might be a good choice... |

| The game plays like crap on my system aswell. Big pauses in certain areas, never been able to figure out why. I've removed it off my harddrive since then. | Quote: also for the record, a mate got crysis to play on the onboard video of an abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD mobo (ati x1250 chipset), at 800 x 600 at medium settings, which was quite playable most of the time. so by rights that 8600 you got should run it well, just dont go too nuts with the settings. enjoy the new pc! | |
