I remember seeing a page in the support about resetting the account. But to do so you need to contact Valve which i am in the process of doing.

so one of my friends gave me these setting for source for better frame rates, and well i cant change them back, i dont know where to change them. They were entered into the launch options of the game, and at first it was cool cause everything was faster, but now, i dont really care cause i want to see sprays again and actually see dead bodies (in mine they instantly disappear after they are killed). know of anything to do?

I'm not sure how to reset the settings, but don't be afraid of making a new thread. This thread is dead and old.

Right-click the game in the Steam list and choose Properties. Click "Set launch options" and clear everything you see there.
