Hahaha. I've been lurking around this whole time just not posting. I don't have a whole lot of time but once this school year is over I'll be back.

the wife would not go for that... plus with kids in the house, doubt that would go over too well...

If that's the case why waste your time with a mouse pad, get her a friend.

I use an Ultimat Teflon Coated steel. They are like 35 bucks, but is an excellent mouse pad for gaming.

Yeah, I guess I should've mentioned the part where my desk is about 3 years old or so and it's starting to get worn pretty bad where it's starting to get a texture to it. I can feel it as I'm gaming and moving my mouse around.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I definitely will be looking at the hard plastic, aluminum, smooth surface styles. Durability and smoothness is key.

I game for at least 2 hours a nite easily. It's how I deal with stress once my wife and son go to bed.

Thanks again everyon.

I'm using a mouse pad with 4 puppies on it that was handed down to me by my Daughter when she got a new one. Laser doesn't like the glass top on my desk or I wouldn't use one.
