All opinions welcome only thing I ask is no flaming other peeps opinions.

Use your wit to annihilate the competition not your a$$.

One of the first things you should do is get xfire to keep up with people you like to game with.

Second, just jump in and test the waters. You'll quickly find out where you enjoy your gaming. Don't be too quick to call other cheaters, because you'll find out sooner or later that a good portion of players are teenagers without a job and have nothing better to do than play online for 12hrs a day or more.

Thanks again guys for all the input. So I've taken some advice and hooked up with Xfire. As you can see in my sig I hope. I tried it this weekend wow! totally different than single player. I love it but sucked at it the first couple times. It's like starting over in kindergarten I need to move up and get some unlocks like frags at least, I'm to used to using them and to be without is a nightmare . My first round ended up -1 it was hard to get my head above water there for awhile. Finally I started to get the hang of it :cheers:. Titan seems to be pretty cool too. Again I just have to learn it. Free for all might not be so bad either as all seem to be a lot of fun. I want to try our server here so let me know next time you all are playing and I'll see if I can join ya.

Also gonna have to learn the lingo the manual (go figure) was pretty helpful too but, it seems peeps make there own stuff up too. I had a hard time for example understanding what @screwballl were saying there.

In case you use Modern Rcon (for admin/server controls) for COD4, Headquarters is actually KOTH now.

Also in case you don't know what the gametypes are about:

In S&D or search and destory: One side penetrates and plants the bomb the other defends and defuses it.
(Plant or defuse by "holding" the "F" key)

Domination or DOM: Control as many control points or flags as you can (Sound familiar?)
"Just stand close to the flag"

Headquarters or KOTH: Both teams try to capture a radio as soon as it spawns in( the game will say HQ has been located, run toward the HQ icon. If you do not capture the radio you MUST then destroy it.
"Just stand close to the radio"

Sabotage or sab: In this gametype As the game starts both teams race for the middle of the map in order to retrieve the briefcase which houses the explosives, you and the other team needs, to blow the objective. If you retrive the bomb before the other team gets it , the other team will be able to see who it is that carries the bomb, unlike S&D where no one except your team mates knows who has the bomb. Because the other team can see who carries the bomb they will try to quickly hunt you down before you plant it on the target, if you do get the plant down sorta speak, you must then become the defense and guard the plant to keep the other team from defusing it. Who ever blows their respective objective or target first...wins the round.

Thanks! I played 6 maybe 10 hours of CoD4 too this week. Can't figure out why Xfire isn't recording it the servers are but no screenshots or chat works from within game I updated to 1.5 from 1.4 to see if it would help and no luck. I also checked Tools.Options panel in Xfire to dbl check setting were enabled and appropriately ticked. Any suggestion appreciated

I wanna try me some OLD SCHOOL that's right up my alley. So far from what I can see I'm way short in skill and weapons. Weapons being the biggest disadvantage.

yeah the Xfire ingame chat isn't working for me either so their next update should hopefully fix it.

well voice, chat, screenshots & stats don't work for me.

I got to thinking after reading the FAQ's at Xfire that I loaded that game in another profile on my PC. I sometimes use it for just playing games you know.... everything turned off etc Maybe I should log on to it and check it out>>>>>>>>>>seeya

I would uninstall then reinstall it under the main computer login that you use for the games. I know the stats take a day or two to catch up on mine.
