| The pump could "handle" it, but you have to question how many GPH it would get through two radiators. I wouldn't ever consider two separate radiators unless I had a very high throughput pump - one you're not likely to find in the 12v flavor (once upon a time we WCers didn't have the fancy 12v pumps sold and packaged specifically for computer use, and relied on 120v pumps and relays that were even more powerful :p). It's pointless to have 2 radiators if you're going to lose the effect by dropping your flow so much that the temps are higher anyway. You always do what you can to maximize flow...because that's what takes the heat away from your components. I cool my loop (just 2x CPUs, but 4 cores) with a single 2x120mm. It should work just fine for you as well. Also don't forget to factor in cost of fans. Yate Loons can't be beat for price and noise:airflow. ![]() Join us on the unofficial HL IRC Channel! | I have Yate Loons for my rad, and I agree, can't be beat. I cool my single CPU loop with a 2x120 with great temps, but I would be a tad worried about it at higher voltages (1.4v and up) with a single rad. Are yo overclocking, RAID? BTW, What are the temps on those CPU's Telexan? | aka Mike Honcho | You bet your bottom I overclock. I was just kidding about getting another Ultra btw. I just did not think this would get over $500. I would rather have more cooling than I need then not enough. I've read that a quad core with an 8800 series card in the same loop will need some serious cooling so I think I'm going to just go with the the triple radiator and mount it to the rear of the case with the radbox. I'll give it a couple of days to marinate and do a little bit more reading before ordering. | socket 939 junkie | just keep in mind the thermochill PA series is THICK. take 2 120mm fans, stack them on top of each other and thats how deep the radiator is before you add a fan. i love my PA120.3 though! the ability to dissipate around 700 watts of heat (at the cost of what little hearing i have left) is awesome! i think you could get away with the PA120.2 but you may have to use the higher speed yateloons and put them on a fan controller. | aka Mike Honcho | I thought one of the advatages of WC was quieter operation? What's causing the extra noise in your set up? | T-Rex | 3 fans instead of the "standard 2 fans enthusiast WC setup". ;) |

| His fans are a little loud and they are external so that might also contribute to the noise. ![]() I Like Watercooling. D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220 |

| socket 939 junkie | yeah, i have high speed fans that are located outside of my case so naturally the noise is going to be greater. but i bought a fan controller to take care of that ![]() Q6600 @ 3.6ghz (400x9 @ 1.408v) Gigabyte X38-DQ6 2x2GB G-Skill DDR2 1000 @ DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 2T 2.1v Visiontek HD4870 Seagate 7200.11 500GB 32MB Cache HDD Razer Barracuda AC1 Silverstone DA750 Samsung Dual Layer DVD Burner Lian Li G70WB Thermochill PA120.3|Swiftech Storm Rev.2|Swiftech MCP 655 |

| aka Mike Honcho | I'm pretty excited about this project. I'm going to get 3 Yate Loon fans and give them a try. | Don't fall into the trap that most people fall into and think that you can buy extremely high CFM fans and just turn them down with a fan controller. (I'm talking about fans that push 130+CFM). They turn down, but the whine and clicking from them becomes more audible than they were to begin with. I've tried at least a dozen high CFM fans from 5 different manufacturers and have never been impressed with their abilities to undervolt. I've come to the conclusion that WC enthusiasts who use several of these fans and "swear" by them don't know what "quiet" really means when it comes to computers. I use Yate Loon D12SL-12's both for WC fans and case fans (5 of them total in my case, still quiet). They're lower CFM but have very low noise and I hardly notice a difference in temperatures between low and max speed from the fans mounted to my radiator. ![]() Join us on the unofficial HL IRC Channel!
