Watercooling is more appealing to some than to others. I was interested in it the moment I saw one.

Good catch on the Radiator Tyreal. For some reason, I was thinking that 120 was a double. That's what I get for thinking that early in the morning and without coffee.

I just did some measuring. I think I could move my HD cooler, DVD burner and fan controller to the top three drive bays and place a 3x120 radiator vertically on the front of case, taking up the remaining six drive bays. That would meet my goal of keeping everything internal, avoiding any potential problems installing the radiator on the bottom of the case, and allowing me to use a triple instead of a double rad as I previously planned.

I do have some new options that I would like opinions on:

• CPU Water block
Swiftech Apogee GTX $70 vs D-Tek Fuzion $70

• VGA Water block
Swiftech Stealth $110 vs Danger Den 8800 $135

• Radiator
Danger Den Black Ice GTX360 $125 vs Thermochll PA120.3 $135

EVGA GTX 280 SLI * Western Digital Velociraptor * ASUS BC-1205PT Blue Ray Drive * Danger Den Torture Rack
Water Cooling - Dtek Fuzion V2 - D5 - 120.3 - EK Res400 - 1/2" Tygon - Bitspower Compression Fittings

CPU Block:
The Fuzion is better than the Apogee GTX without bowing it. Personally, I would choose the fuzion.

VGA Waterblock:
I would pick the stealth.

Radiator:
PA120.3 all the way.

I just wrote a pretty long post about all of this but it got deleted for some reason...

Correct me if I'm wrong Tyreal, but the Stealth GPU block does not cover the voltage regulator, and the Danger Den 8800GTX block does cover it. That, in my opinion, would make the Danger Den one better.

I would pick the D-Tek FuZion.

If you can afford it (and I'm sure you can, RAID) go for the Thermochill.

No it doesn't cover the voltage regulators but they give you heatsinks for that. Personally, I could care less if they don't cover the vregs because thats just more heat dump in the loop (which is going to be pretty high with an Ultra and Quad)

That is true, and I guess it doesn't matter anyways since I don't think RAID is going to be bumping up the voltage on the 8800 Ultra... It's fast enough...

One more thing: RAID did you consider this: Have a 2x120 radiator at the top of you case, insode, and another 1x120 at the back, were the exhaust fan is now, and that would be like a 3x120, but all inside your case, without the radbox!

After a little bit more consideration, I don't like the idea of putting the 3x120 in the front of the case and limiting me to only 3 drive bays. I actually like the idea of using two radiators (a single and a dual). Do you think the single radiator be good enough cool cool my QX6700? And are there any negative effects of having two radiators? I would appreciate any opinions on this. Thanks

Here's what it looks like so far:

• CPU Water block - D-Tek Fuzion $70
• VGA Water block - Swiftech Stealth $110
• Pump - Swiftech MCP655 (Laing D5) $100
• Radiator - Thermochill PA120.1 & PA120.2 $215 ???
• Reservoir - Danger Den Acrylic 5 1/4" Bay $30
• Tubing - Tygon 1/2" ~$30
• Misc - Clamps, fittings, additive

Total ~ $555

Edit: Now that I look at this, I might as well just buy another Ultra and call it a day, haha

I think it puts a little more stress on the pump with two rads, but that pump could definitely handle it.

I think you should get what you have listed. Maybe get another Ultra and the water cooling stuff...
