Thermaltake Big Typhoon is better than Thermaltake Blue Orb II, Artic Freezer 7 & Zalman CNPS 9500, IMO.
As Justin said, if you are a bit space limited the Thermalright SI-120 is a good choice too.

By the way, if you plan on buying such a cooler i'd recommend Artic Silver 5 for maximum heat transfer. If you're somehow afraid to spill some you can go the safe route and get Artic Silver Ceramique which is almost as good.

Judging from the newegg specs, it should fit.

I can take dimensions once i'm at home, I have a fairly small (yet normally deep) case, the Antec SLK1650B and it barely fits there. :P

Most any typical ATX tower case should fit any of the heatsinks mentioned. The only heatsink I have heard of having some fit issues is the Scythe Ninja Plus. The heatsink its self fits, but the fan that you can put on it mounts up too high and hits the side panel of some cases.

halutzparilla, just do some research on your own and see what you come up with. There are lots of heatsink reviews done by the good folks here at HardwareLogic

If you cannot find a review on the heatsink you are thinking about getting here at HardwareLogic, just do a google search.
THEN, if you are still confused or have some more specific questions about the heatsinks you have narrowed it down to, you can ask for more help here in the forums.

I don't have a problem with you making threads about your buying decisions, I think it's always great to have new topics to discuss. But I just don't want you to take our word for it and buy something because we said so, especially if you end up unhappy with it for whatever reason. That is why I want you do go out and do some reasearch on your own about the heatsinks that have been mentioned and educate yourself a little as to their prices, performance, and reliability. That way when you do make a purchase, you can be an informed consumer that knows what they bought and why.

:D actually this is not the only forum/website i'm researching in, and besides i'm adept in reading reviews specs and every single detial that conected to what i'm spending on...

with my line of work, which practically had nothing to do with computer in the basic level, (* coz most of work on the higher level requires computer), i can't afford mistake, one mistake can mean one human life will be messed up or worst it would end ...

computer is just a hobby for me, i like playing, build, and studying their components.

i guess you'll never be satisfied on everything you know...

and besides i like asking opinions and comparing it with statistics, i acknowledge and accept what my know limits...

I enjoy your posts....
They help start conversation, they make people think, and more importantly they get people involved voicing their opiinions over products.
I agree with what Blake is saying....he's not posting the usual "Google it" that trolls normally post on boards....he's just pointing out something we here at HL really believe in...get a variety of opinions from different sites/reviewers....sometime we all miss things that are important, and sometimes we all see things from a different perspective.

Yeah most definitely get alot of opinions, and try things by yourself. It's a good way to learn.
Oh and buy a Thermaltake Big Typhoon.

Edit: On an unrelated note; it's great being here. The community is rather small for now, but since it's small we know each other pretty well so nobody is forcing their opinion on someone. Something that happens often on other, bigger boards.
It would be cool if the community grew the way it is now. Just adding cool users and all that. :)

Indeed, I enjoy other people's opinions as well. I just got the feeling from your replies that you were being very easily swayed and would end up buying whatever heatsink the last poster suggested. I just didn't want you to jump into a heatsink purchase without having a good idea of what you were buying and why, not just taking some one else's word for it. Just lookin' out for ya man!

But all of the heatsinks suggested are very good and all have their plus's and minus's. Maybe you can give us a little more information about your situation. What chip is this cooling? How important is noise level to you? What about a price range? Do you want it to be widely compatible with other platforms or not so much? Will you be overclocking the processor this heatsink purchase is going to cool? If so, what are your overclocking goals?
