| Ok so I decided to lower the CPU to 3.0 GHz for the moment, and it stays around 63C with occasional jumps to 65C under full load... Is this ok? Or should I lower it further? | Modder-ator | I try to keep my temps at about 50C or less, I think the melting point for most modern processors is in the high 60's or 70's (depends on the processor). I would try and get those temps below 60. You have a great heatsink there, try pulling it off, cleaning off the TIM, reapply the TIM, and carefully reseat the heatsink.
