| Polobunny ... Yellowhello has the right call on this .... I have tried numerous manufacturers of fans from Yate loons to Scythe ... and ended up buying the best fans and testing them all. The Scythe S-Flex are by far the best quiet fan for quiet air moving volume and static pressure. They also make a higher CFM fan that is very nice ... but it doesn't have as high a static pressure. Here are the best S-Flex: Scythe SFF21E 120mm S-Flex Fluid Dynamic Bearing Fan 3-Pin 49CFM 20.1dBA The Scyther Slipstream on the same site are the ones that have even higher air flow. If you have fan speed regulation then the 24 DB ones are nice at 80% plus power. Try and keep the dBA rating at or below 21dBA and be sure the "Rating" is accurate. Scythe SY-1225SL12M SlipStream 120mm Fan 1200RPM 69CFM 24dBA I have spent over $400+ on the best fans at sale prices and find the scythe ... especially the S-Flex are hands down the best if they can be had for $20 ea or less shipped. These new slipstream ... they are nice ... I have a few I played with ... they are best for high air volume quiet "lower Pressure" needs. Yate loons are ok too ... especially if you can regulate them and get them cheap ... 1 in 5-7 will have a whine or quirk. | The Slipstream will do you fine as your exterior intake fans ... I would only suggest them in applications that do not require "Air Pressure" like CPU cooling. Plus ... if you have filter panels ... their efficiency could be reduced. I use the S-Flex as my intake fans because I have filter panels and want to create "Positive Pressure" in my case. The slipstream would not be able to do that in my application ... unless I put more air exit holes at the bottom of my case ... then it would work and blow out dust at the same time. | That 900 is a sweet case. Wish I would have gone with it. The slipstreams will be the ticket and so quiet that you cannot hear them. I have a Gemini 2 ... tried the slipstream on them and they got poor performance due to "pressure" ... put Yate Loons on them and they performed just as good as S-Flex did with a tad more noise. Since they are deep inside the case ... the extra noise is tolerable. If I had to do it again ... I would probably use two SCYTHE SFF21F 120MM S-FLEX FLUID DYNAMIC BEARING FAN 3-PIN 64CFM 28DBA ... and just undervolt them a tad to get the DBA under 21. More air and quieter than the Yates.
