I think the can of compressed air is likely the safest and cheapest way to get the job done, aside from blowing on your parts holding a straw in your mouth.

If you already own a leaf blower, why not use it instead of compressed air? It's just as safe and it's more cost effective to boot.

I guess, it's not like I'd frankly know the risks of using a leaf blower if any considering I don't own one neither do I know how the whole thing works. I can only guess it's powered by a two stroke motor (yeah, i've heard my neighbors leaf blowers :P).
If the the nozzle is made of plastic just be cautious for electrostatic.

I do have a big air compressor, but I try not to use it on my computer that often.

Comes in real handy for blowing out heatsinks though.
