| Word, so I stupidly posted in another thread (thanks Tom... sorta... ). Here's my results. The NB temperature is not right. That was with the old heatsink. The idle after swapping the heatsinks without IC7 was around 46C. I must say, however, the temps have dropped dramatically, especially with the CPU temp dropping nearly 10C. Before: ![]() After: ![]() Total changes: System - 4C CPU - 9C NB - approx 3-4C An addition, the load temperatures using IC7 (I have no previous comparison of these). ![]() I've gotten similar temperatures with AS5, but that was on an Athlon X2, not a quad core. Super props to IC7! ![]() - Core 2 Quad Q6600 - DFI Infinity 975X - 4GB Corsair XMS2 w/ DHX DDR2-800 - 500GB WD 7200.10 Caviar GP + 250GB Seagate 7200.9RPM + 160GB Hitachi 5400.4RPM - ATi Radeon X1900XT 256MB - Cooler Master Centurion 5 + OCZ StealthXStream 600W - Acer 19" P191W Monitor - Logitech Z-5500 Digital + Logitech MX Revolution - Vista Ultimate x64 |

| Colonel Calamity | The only time I can think of that someone may need to use this is in the rare chance that they notice their temps may be off, such as mentioned in the forum you posted, where it was showing a E6400 at 9ºC.... other than that CoreTemp should give you all the info needed. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
